Taking Pictures of Food Will No Longer Be Possible With This Unique Dining 'Phone-less' Table

Are you or your family and friends the type of people who take pictures of their food even before you consume them? If yes, then this trend really has got to stop because it can destroy and end all sorts of relationships. Other than the downsides of using technologies while eating, taking food selfies also somewhat defeats the purpose of enjoying a pleasurable meal with people you want to talk to.

According to Elle Décor, there is one table out there that will encourage you to stop taking selfies of your food, as well as stop you from using your phone while eating. IKEA Taiwan recently released what they call the new Phone-less Table. This furniture has a built-in hot plate that won't heat up unless you put your mobile phone underneath. According to Curbed, this product is very safe because it won't heat up your phone even if you place it underneath for very long hours.

Meanwhile, this is not the first time that designers have encouraged people to value their conversations first before anything else. A few years ago, a Polish furniture was created to block all mobile and Wi-Fi signals. The "No Wi-Fi Survival Kit" by graphic designer Nora Kaszanyi was then released to prove that people can still survive and engage in other types of activities even without the Internet.

In other news, as of late, it is still unclear whether or not the Phone-less Table will be introduced in other IKEA branches across the world. What is only known is that they are selling really well in IKEA Taiwan.

The branch's official YouTube site released a two-minute video detailing how their product works. As of late, the video which was first uploaded last month, has already been viewed more than 71,000 times.
