Luxury Listing NYC: Norman Foster Penthouse Seeks $65M

A Norman Foster penthouse that occupies the 60th and 61st floors is currently on the market for $65 million. It is located at the midtown Manhattan condo, Aby Rosen's  project 100 East 53rd Street. The palatial duplex penthouse sits in an area of 6,760 square feet and has four bedrooms and four-and-a-half bathrooms.

Last year, Foster's penthouse was listed on the market for an asking price of $55 million, according to Real Deal. During the time it was recorded as the most expensive unit in the building. The project has a forecast sale of $762 million. At present, the luxury condo has a value of $9,615 per square foot. The property has a 44-foot-long huge room with 23-foot ceilings.

"People previously looked at Midtown as an area that was just full of offices," Aby Rosen told Curbed. "But now people are looking at it as a place that's more livable, that has more retail, shopping, and great dining experiences. With Midtown, it's now a case of people wanting to live and work in the same place."

The luxury listing in New York City is being developed by Rosen's RFR Holding. It is designed by renowned architect, Norman Foster, together with Hines and China Vanke. The property will have 94 apartments. Floors 5 to 9 with loft style will be called Bustle Residences, while the higher floors will be Tower Residences. The interior of the apartments will be finished by William T. Georgis.

The first floor of the penthouse features European style and has amenities such as high-end food court. The second floor will have a celebrity-chef run restaurant. Meanwhile, the third and fourth floors will have facilities such as sauna, swimming pool, yoga, a fitness center, and ballet rooms. A one-bedroom units' price starts at $3.35 million. Sales for luxury listing started last week.
