HGTV's feng sui experts have some tips and advice on how one can decorate and design their homes in order to attract love and money this 2016. To attract love, Karen Rauch Carter, feng shui consultant and author of "Move Your Stuff, Change Your Life," said that it is important to never put all furniture against the walls, and they should be arranged in a way that encourages communication.

Laura Benko, feng shui and holistic design expert, also suggested adding doubles to every room to attract good fortune in love. She explained that this creates the energy of partnership and that having a single chair or photograph can enforce singularity. To improve marriage, one of the site's consultants also suggested adding happy family photos in display areas like the hallways, kitchen and living room.

To attract money, Benko suggested using the colors red, purple and green in decorating the room. She explained that color has a great impact on a person's mood and red is considered to be a powerful one. Meanwhile, purple and green are known to attract prosperity.

Carter also suggested that to attract money, it is important to make the front door inviting. She explained that when the front door is not welcoming, great opportunities will have a hard time entering the homeowner's life.

Lastly, to attract prosperity it is also important to lose the clutter around the home and add plants inside to create a healthy and vibrant environment.
