Summerly Home Designs Get the Endorsement of Lake Elsinore Planning Commission

The proposals for the couple residential developments have reached a total of 117 homes in Summerly tract, which were given the endorsement of the Lake Elsinore Planning Commission on Jan. 5.

In a vote of 5-0, the Commissioners voted for the recommendation of the City Council to approve the plans of Van Daele Development for the 65 homes, as well as the Sea Country Homes' project of constructing 53 homes. The recommendations were made to demand for the installation of additional architectural features on the rears and sides of these homes. The projects are set for a review by the City Council on Jan. 26.

According to the Sea Country, they would provide three models measuring from a one-storey 1,950-square-foot home to a two-storey 2,358-square-foot home. The homes will be constructed on the 10 acres that are bordered by the Village Parkway, Summerly Place and Hidden Trail. Van Daele, on the other hand, would develop the model homes on the east part of the Village Parkway from a one-storey 2,258-square-foot home to a two-storey 3,297-square-foot home on 13.5 acres.

These two projects are included in the master plan for the Summerly located in the southeastern portion of Lake Elsinore close to The Diamond stadium. With about 1/3 built, an approximate number of 1,500 homes are reserved for the community.

Meanwhile, Saint Springs LLC will be spending a huge sum of $750,000 to purchase the Links at Summerly. The plans will be calling for the immediate closure of the 18-hole layout for the renovation. This was announced by Moe Abourched, a representative of the company, on a social meeting for the civic leaders held at the clubhouse. Abourched said that the golf course is shutting down in the coming days, the moment the escrow closes.  While the golf course may be closed for almost the entire year, he noted that the clubhouse and its popular bar and restaurant will still be open, The Press Enterprise reported.
