HGTV’s ‘Property Brothers’ Stars Release First Country Single

The popular twins who host HGTV's "Property Brothers" are now officially country singers as well with the release of their debut single "Hold On."

According to The Boot, the stars of the real estate reality show "Property Brothers" made their foray into the music business last year and showed they're more than just good looking twins hosting a widely watched TV show. Drew and Jonathan Scott a.k.a. The Scott Brothers released the song "Hold On" in the last quarter of 2015 which surprised many of their fans from the show. In the report, the song is reportedly about being homesick. It can mean a lover, family or simply just missing home. The brothers went to Nashville last year and worked with Chad Carlson and Victoria Shaw on their songs.

When asked about their new venture, the brothers said playing music is not new to them as they grew up singing and playing musical instruments like the guitar. They were also part of their church choir and their parents had them take voice lessons. And being in a band is not also a first for them as they already had one as teenagers with their brother JD. The band was called Western Union. The Scotts said, "Music has always been part of our lives, something we're passionate about. We grew up on a ranch where most weekend nights ended in us all around the campfire, with our dad playing the guitar."

The duo added, "There have been times in our lives where people have told us something just can't be done and we've become addicted to proving these naysayers wrong."

In a report by CBS, the "Property Brothers" duo graced the Philadelphia Home and Garden Show which drew hundreds of fans of the show as well as people in the home improvement and real estate business. Drew and Jonathan Scott took the stage to answer questions from the crowd and gave tips on how to upgrade their properties. The twins also gave advice on flipping properties. They said, "Don't try to jump into trying to flip properties or real estate investment if you're not ready."
