Bathroom Remodeling Tips on a Tight Budget

One of the most expensive areas to remodel is most definitely the bathroom. It may be a small area, but the materials needed for remodeling is mostly expensive. But as per Houzz website, keeping things classy and simple can save you a ton of cash.

A regular bathroom remodel can range from $5,000 to 100,000 and that does not include labor. The costs however range from the size, amenities, quality, and design. It is helpful to plan a budget first and work within the amount rather than doing it the other way around.

Houzz then gave out a probable budget and what you might get if you'd work within the amount.

DIY ($3,000 to $12,000)

As per the website, if you would opt to go for DIY, you don't have to spend that much. The only problem with it is the fact that you would not be able to move things around, most especially if it requires plumbing, such as the toilet or the sink.

By doing DIY, you would be able to pull of the design that you've envisioned. As per Lynn Madyson, basic remodeling only includes minimal workload. "Off-the-shelf options have gotten a bit better in recent years, You can get a little creative by doing an interesting back splash to make things look more high-end."

As for the walls to save on cost, instead of tiling the hole bathroom area, painting half of it can cut cost as it is the most affordable option. Do make sure that the color scheme would match to make the bathroom look classy.

Do not tile the entire bathroom as it can be too expensive. Instead, opt for ceramic tiles or look for the cheapest tile option that can offer both durability and class. Re-modelling the bathroom does not have to be expensive as long as you carefully choose the materials that you would be using.
