Homes for Sale: A Luxurious Woodside Property Being Sold at Half the Original Price

A luxurious home estate in Woodside, California originally priced at $20million is now being sold at half the price.

The estate located at 6 Quail Meadows Drive has gone from a $20million asking price to a mere $10million, SF Gate reported. The property was initially listed back in 2014, but a few months after, the owner and the agent adjusted the price for the first time.

Socket Site originally reported the price cut in March 2015. From $20million, the price went down to just around $17.5million. Now more than a year after the 8,660 square feet property hit the market and came under a new listing agent, the house's cost is further cut down.

According to Carol McCorkle, a Pacific Union realtor and the new agent handling the account, the Woodside estate may have not been sold at its original price because it may have not been built for $20million.

"Given the Woodside market, it seemed that we needed to price it to sell and that is what we have done. It is a great value for Woodside: a dramatic, one-of-a-kind home!" McCorkle said further.

The home, which is a modern version of a farmhouse, was built in 1989. It has magnificent surroundings with lush trees, landscaped gardens and golden hills. The interior of the home is highlighted with a high ceiling, which is 35 feet in height. Aside from the ceiling, the house also features a gym, a billiard room, a bar, a library and a swimming pool.

The interior extends to the outdoor view since the walls are filled with huge windows and doors, perfect for basking in the daylight and the nature backdrop. Another notable feature of this Woodside property is the provision for solar power as the home is equipped with solar panels.

According to the report, the owner of the house has been living in it for 25 years and since the children are already grown up and have gone to live their own lives, the owner decided to move on and sell the family estate.
