Los Angeles Real Estate: Brentwood Property with John Byers Cottage Is Listed at $11.25M

A luxurious real estate with John Byers cottage located in Brentwood, California is being sold by property owners at $11.25million.

Curbed LA reported the listing of the multimillion dollar estate in Brentwood, California. The estate, according to the report, is one of the premium properties in the entire Los Angeles. For the first time since 1965, the plush Brentwood estate has been put up for sale following the death of owners Richard and Patricia Anawalt.

The Anawalts owned Anawalt Lumber, which had been led by Richard before he passed away in 2000. The Anawalt matriarch, Patricia, filled the vacated position after her husband's death. She died in October 2015, and following her death, their one-of-a-kind Anawalt estate has been put on the market.

The highlight of the property is the cottage designed by renowned architect, John Byers. It sits on the vast park-like landscape of the estate. People with enthusiasm for nature will love this place, where the canyon and the blue Pacific are a permanent view. The landscaped ground provides a romantic ambience, while the cottage gives both a traditional homey feel to the green space.

On the other hand, the home has a total of five bedrooms. There are two master bathrooms, a breakfast area, formal dining room, and two family rooms (one separate from the house). The home is also equipped with a range, an oven, a central furnace, and three fireplaces, according to Redfin. There is no cooling system, though with a place surrounded by trees and plants, there is no need for one.

The estate provides parking provision for three cars in the garage and another three in a covered space. The entire property is gated and is located at 167 South Rockingham Avenue. The neighborhood is a gated community making the location totally private and peaceful.

Although there are not any pools in the property, there is a pool provision, where the future owner could have one built.
