Mickey Drexler Net Worth: J. Crew CEO Sells Tribeca Apartment For $25M

Another property from the J. Crew CEO, Mickey Drexler, is back in the market, and this time his designer Tribeca apartment is on sale for $25 million.

According to New York Curbed, the property was first listed in the market in April 2015 for $35 million. The Thierry Despont-designed apartment was taken off the market in July and came back with a reduced price of $29 million. It was only recently that the apartment was put back on the market with another reduced price of $25 million.

Drexler originally bought the place in 2012 for only $14.3 million and has tasked Despont to design the interiors. The 6,226-square-foot apartment has a total of five bedrooms and at least five bathrooms. Other features of the apartment include three walk-in closets and a custom billiards area.

Listing details for the property reveal that the fully furnished apartment is filled with a luxurious blend of furniture and decorations. The entrance features a 20-foot long gallery which leads to the 82-foot grand salon. The place also features 11-foot high ceilings and Brazilian wood floors.

The master bedroom, which has its own custom built-in walk-in closet, adjoins the master study room. The three other bedrooms are located on the opposite side of the house, which features a sitting room. It also has a staff quarters and a laundry room.

According to Celebrity Net Worth, Drexler has a net worth of $150 million. He is known as the current chairman and CEO of J. Crew Group. Aside from working in the clothing industry, he also served as a director on the board of directors at Apple Inc. for the last 13 years.

During his early career, he rose from working with Gap, and he is often credited with the brand's rise in popularity during the early 1990s. His work with the company ended in 2002, and he was soon hired afterward by J. Crew.
