'Insurgent' Book, Movie & Trailer: Film Teaser Shows Shailene Woodley Jumping to Action

The team behind "Insurgent" really know how to get fans excited. In a minute long teaser, we see Tris, played by Shailene Woodley, performing amazing stunts to save her mother (Ashley Judd).

In the action-packed first trailer for the "Divergent" sequel, Tris is the focus of the footage that begins with Tris who is surveying a devastated, post-apocalyptic Chicago. While she looks around the wasteland filled with destroyed buildings, she spots her mother, Natalie -- who was killed in the crossfire during the first film -- calling for help as she is trapped inside a burning building that begins to float to the sky.

Using the skills she picked up in Dauntless, Tris goes through extreme lengths to get to her Natalie.

Woodley, 22, looks every bit the action star as she jumps from buildings and braves flames to chase down her her mother who is alone inside the burning, floating structure.

There is not much dialogue in the footage, just Tris screaming for her mother and Natalie asking for help. Amidst the scenes of mass destruction, the message flashed is simple, "The world will never be the same."

Aside from Judd and Woodley, the other cast members, including Ansel Elgort and Theo James, are nowhere to be seen.

For those who were counting on some plot details, Time notes that this teaser will leave you wanting. The site wrote that "instead of getting any sense of what the movie's about, we get some messy CGI. But fans will likely still flock to the theaters."

According to lead actor Theo James, via E! Online, the second film will be different from the plot of the book.

"You have to honor the material for the first film because you have a fan base, but when you come to the second one, if you you've done well with the first movie, you now have the ability to think outside the box," explained the 29-year-old actor.

He added: "And I think as long as you have good character progression-which is essentially Four and Tris, the anchors of the films-if you have that stuff right, then if you lose some kind of threads of different plotlines, it shouldn't matter."

As Rolling Stone summarized, the series is based on the popular trilogy of Veronica Roth that follows the life of Beatrice Prior. As an identified Divergent in a dystopian society, she is considered a threat because of her personality that enables her to traits that ut her into more than one of society's factions. She, along with Four, her romantic interest and fellow Divergent, are able to resist mind-control making them unpredictable.

The film is a continuation of the "Divergent" where Jeanine Matthews (Kate Winslet) determined to find all the Divergent.

The movie is schedule to hit theaters March 20th.
