Interior Design Tips: Create your Own Cozy Book Nook- The Easy Way!

Many are aiming for that special cozy area in their home where they could energize, relax, read their favorite books or simply a place that they could get away from their stressful day. This dedicated area is a small space that could accommodate one huge, fully-cushioned chair, an average size bookcase, a side table and an extra comfy round carpet.

If you don't have this special area in your home, Huffpost shares how you can create this simple cozy book nook and how you can transform that small area into your very own private relaxing place.

Step 1: Pick that perfect spot

What you need to find first is the area where you will transform into a book nook. It doesn't have to be a big space and much likely this space is about 9ft. x 7ft. of area. This is ideal for that stagnant spaces in your home. WikiHow suggests that this space could be in the corner of your home, an alcove, a box. Apart from this, it is necessary that this space is located in the "quietest" or the most peaceful place in your home and away from distraction and noises created by the TV.

"If you have an empty area somewhere in a room in your house, one great thing to solve that is to create a reading nook," Designer Nate Berkus advised based on the outlet. "It doesn't take a lot of time, it doesn't take a lot of effort."

Step 2: Choosing the right chair

The chair for that nook is the most important furniture in that area. The most obvious thing you need to look out for is comfort and that could support your back well while you're reading that great book.

Ideally, these are the chair choices you can choose for that special area.

Papasan

Ball Chair

Swivel Chair

Dorm Chair

Beanbag

Step 3: Other Essentials

The nook area will not be complete if you miss out these other pieces in the area:

Side Table or a Nightstand

Desk Lamp or a Reading Lamp

A tiny bookshelf

Round Rug or Carpet

Arrange the nook your own style and enjoy your cozy time.
