'Scandal' Season 4 Update: Singer Rihanna Pretends to be Olivia Pope During White House Visit

Singer Rihanna visited the White House on Monday and in grand fashion, the artist channeled her inner Olivia Pope, played by Kerry Washington. The 26-year-old popstar re-enacted a number of scenes from the popular TV series "Scandal" and posted snapshots over her recently revived Instagram page.

In one photo, the entertainer, dressed in a striking printed outfit and heels looked engrossed in a call made through a public phone with a serious look about her face. 

She captioned the pic: "CYRUS!!! LET ME IN!!" #DayAtTheWhiteHouse."

The "Cheers" singer posted another picture from the same site where she looks more high fashion with a foot popped in the air and smolder on her face. 

"Fitz, darling..." wrote the star on the image pretending to the talking to the President of the United States in the show, portrayed by the handsome Tony Goldwyn.

Other photos were posted via the popular social media site showing RiRi with a group of friends and another showing the singer standing at the podium.

Rihanna is in town for the Veteran's Day celebration and will be performing at "The Concert for Valor" at the National Mall, to be by HBO, noted Just Jared. Rihanna will be sharing the stage with other big names that include Eminem, Jennifer Hudson, Carrie Underwood, Bruce Springsteen, Meryl Streep, and Bryan Cranston.

According to Mail Online, prior to her fun day at the US capital, Rihanna was attending the Miyake Mugler House Ball in New York City.

In a recent interview, series TV star Kerry Washington, 37, openly talked about the show's fourth season and the direction of the show.

"I'm grateful to work for a woman -- work for ["Scandal" creator] Shonda Rhimes -- who is not afraid to deal with real issues in her work," Washington said to CBS News"I think anytime you have a cultural, or pop culture moment to do something that resonates with people emotionally it's such a beautiful opportunity, whether it's a show or a handbag to give people a way to be able to talk about difficult issues, it's a real gift."

While she mentioned the show will be tackling the hard issues, she remained tight-lipped about the plot.

"It continues to be a total roller coaster ride, for sure," was all that Kerry said.
