'The Hunger Games 3' Movie, Trailer & Cast: Liam Hemsworth: J-Law Helped Me Get Over Miley Cyrus, Says "I'm much happier"

"The Hunger Games" star Liam Hemsworth has opened up about his personal life and the person who has helped him become happier -- Jennifer Lawrence.

According to the Associated Press via Yahoo! Movies, the 23-year-old celebrity says he is in a good place right now.

"I'm more comfortable in my own skin than I've ever been in my whole life," said the hunky Australian. "Over the last five years I've learned so much," said Miley Cyrus' ex-fiance.

Since moving to Los Angeles to jump star a career at the age of 18, "The first few years in LA were really tough and scary, but I had to figure things out for myself."

Hemsworth, the younger brother of Chris Hemsworth (Marvel's "Thor"), notes he's been able to stay grounded because of the truth.

"What I always keep in mind is that I know what the truth is and that's all that matters," explained the actor set to appear in the newest installment of "The Hunger Games" due out this month: ''I know I'm a good person and these days I feel like I'm more centered and grounded than I've ever been."

The actor revealed that he uses Zen books and surfing to calm himself. Additionally, the actor loves to kick-box: "But I don't fight people. It's a mental release to go and beat the (expletive) out of a bag for an hour."

Hemsworth credits his co-star Lawrence to being someone who helped him stay positive: "For a few years I went down a path where I forgot to be in the moment and enjoy the moment."

He added: But being around someone like Jen, who is so honest and laughs all day long, I am forced to be in the right now. I'm much happier."

Liam and Miley met on the set of "The Last Song" in 2010 and after announcing their engagement, they broke up in latter part of 2013.

"The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1" stars Lawrence and Hemsworth as well as Josh Hutcherson, Elizabeth Banks, Woody Harrelson, Julianne Moore, Donald Sutherland and Natalie Dormer, to name a few.

The film, directed by Francis Lawrence, follows Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) as she gears up to fight the Capitol and save Peeta. 

The final installment of Suzanne Collin's popular fiction trilogy has been split into two parts, "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1" is set to be released in the US as well as the UK on Nov. 21. with the second part scheduled to hit theaters Nov. 20, 2015.
