Celebrity Real Estate: What You Don't Know About Oprah's House

We all have our time to shine, but for a billion-dollar-worth Oprah Winfrey, every minute of the day shines through with her $14 million furnished mansion.

The high-tech mansion is specifically located in the box-canyon ski town of Telluride. As reported by Los Angeles Times, Oprah bought this from an African art collector and business man, Bob Wall.

With this 8,700-square-foot home, the media mogul can enjoy the evergreens at her new mansion. Its seven-person hot tub, a mud room, and a faux mining car with a nearby ski trail connecting the mansion are but wonderful things for a ski enthusiast like Oprah. If she wants to wind down at the end of the day, she can stay at the 56-foot-long wine mine with an antique ore cart that's made of steel.

Perhaps, Oprah doesn't mind going home after every show with her five-bedroom mansion with 6.5-bathroom with sauna, a kitchenette and a seating area. An office, a turret-style tower with 360-degree views, and a guesthouse surely give Oprah more reasons to come home and relax.

T.D. Smith, a listing agent for Telluride Real Estate Corp. shared via Zillow few details about this mansion.

"It rides on old mine rails in a chilled, humidified room that has "sound effects like you're moving through a mine shaft and lights that are computerized to flicker like a lantern would in a mine. The tunnel holds 1,600 bottles of wine," Smith said.

According to Smith, this high-tech mansion was finally completed in 2001 after five yers of designing and building it.

"The home fits perfectly with its mountainous environment, with wonderfully clean, contemporary lines and an interior that just pops," Smith added.

The owner seems to have been earth-friendly as he included a weather station and climate control in the mansion. Such smart features! And in terms of technology upgrade, looks like the owner has taken this mansion to the next level.

"He can water his indoor plants from San Francisco using his iPad," Smith said.

This mansion on the slope side of Telluride's Mountain Village is a one-of-a-kind mansion that we all dream of. Yet, there can only be one who's meant to enjoy the luxury of having this, and that happens to be Oprah!
