Former Atlanta Falcon Running Back Michael Turner Selling His Georgia Mansion for $2.3M

The mansion in Suwanee, GA of Michael Turner, a former All-Pro running back of the Atlanta Falcons and the San Diego Chargers, is up for sale. The stunning home is listed on the market for just $2.3 million.

The six-bedroom, 10,323-square-foot mansion is styled as a French country home. The two main floors of the property offer a classic high-end look with dark wood paneling, exposed brick fireplaces, custom light figures, and vaulted ceilings. In the study room, there are built-in book shelves and a row of arched windows. The French doors add a little privacy to the home.

The spacious area in the basement features a massive bar, a work-out room with a locker area, a pool table, and a media room with stadium seating.

According to Realtor, the mansion also has the seamy side of discord, despite its elegant look. The home made the news in 2012 after a fight broke out on the front lawn between Turner's previous girlfriend and his girlfriend at the time. The home has become quiet until it hit the market in October 2015.

Michael Turner had the most powerful and productive years in his five seasons with Atlanta from 2008 to 2012. Turner "The Burner" helped spark the franchise's best five-year run in history, as reported by Atlanta Falcons.

In his five years with the Atlanta, he had a franchise record of 60 touchdowns and had 6,081 rushing yards.

Turner ran for a franchise record of 220 yards during his first career-game with the Falcons. He finished the season with 1,699 yards, good for third best in the history of the Falcons. That year, he made 17 rushing touchdowns and made a franchise record.

Turner rushed for over 100 yards 27 times during his five years in Atlanta. In those 27 games, the Falcons were 24-3. After failing a physical, Turner was released by the Falcons, a move that saved the team $6.9 million in salary cap. Since releasing Turner, Atlanta has gone just 16-25.
