Tayshaun Prince Buys $3.1 Million Florida Home

Tayshaun Prince, the NBA small forward who currently plays for the "Memphis Grizzlies", has reportedly purchased a home in North Palm Beach, Fla., for $3.1 million.

Prince snagged the home for a discount as property records show that it was listed for $3.28 million. The home came up on market in mid September and closed deal by the end of that month marking a pretty quick sale.

Crissy Poorman of Sotheby's International Realty represented Prince in the deal, while the sellers were assisted by Kevin Dickenson of Berkshire Hathaway Home Services.

The residence is a waterfront property spanning an area of 5,358 square feet. The house has four bedrooms and six bathrooms.

Interiors of the residence feature tiled flooring; high cathedral ceilings arched hallways and French doors and windows.

Living spaces include a formal living area and an open kitchen. There is a separate dining area and a family room as well. Other features include a wet bar, a snack bar and a breakfast area. The master suite has walk-in closets and an en-suite master bath that boasts of a huge soaking tub.

Outside, the house has an open patio, a built-in grill, ample parking space and an 80-foot dock too.

Tayshaun Prince was drafted by the Detroit Pistons in 2002. He went on to win a team championship with the Pistons. He played with team until 2013 when he was traded off to the Memphis Grizzlies. But his performance hasn't been as good ever since he left the Pistons.

Rumors of the Grizzlies considering a potential trade off for Prince were doing the rounds.

"His( Prince's) name was rumored to be on the block at the very beginning of the offseason, but there have been no rumblings for the veteran forward since," according to Fansided.com.

But Prince has been trying to ace his game.

"Last year, I was just in the position of spacing the floor. I've never done stuff like that, so I want to get back to ball handling and creating and making plays. If I can get back to those things, it'll open up more opportunities for me, as opposed to just spacing the floor," Prince was quoted by SBNation.com.

"I just have to be more of an offensive threat on the floor. I can't be an offensive threat just spacing out and waiting for jump shots. That's not really what I've done in this league before. I just want to be more creative," he added.
