Real Estate News: Presenting The Best Chicago Real Estate Deals In 2015

The Chicago real estate market was in full swing in 2015. The market showed an increase in property prices as developers kept building while big time tenants kept on moving

According to an article from Chicago Business, apartments remained as the most popularly searched as evidenced by the sale of a Wicker Drive rental building which has set a new  per unit record for the Chicago market. This included developers developing new residential projects in the area.

The commercial office market was also a strong contender too with the sale of the $1.3 billion sale of the Willis Tower in June.

And with this year's real estate market advancements, Illinois is now moving up in the world.

According to the latest review by Allied Van Lines, the Land of Lincoln is no longer the worst state in the union with reference to net household moves.

But still Illinois is still ranked 49th of 50 states in net moves and is found at the bottom at 49th or 50th.

And when it comes to new residents that would like to move in Illinois through Allied doesn't do badly. The company transferred 2,298 households to the state in 2015, which is more than any other state except Texas, California, Florida and North Carolina, in that order. However more moved out, 3,538, creating a net loss of 1,240 households. This was exceeded only by Virginia's -1,343 and lower than other states such as Pennsylvania, -949; New York, -814; and Michigan, -750.

We must hail the big net gainers of the year which were Texas, Florida, Arizona, Oregon and South Carolina. It is also important to note that last week, Illinois was just one of five states to lose overall population in 2014 which was about 10,000 people.
