Mark Trumbo of Arizona Diamondbacks Selling Phoenix Home for $1.89 Million

Mark Trumbo, the first baseman of MLB team Arizona Diamondbacks, has reportedly listed his home in Phoenix, Ariz., for sale with an asking price of $1.89 million.

Property records show that Trumbo purchased the home in February this year, for $1.57 million, just two months after he got traded to the Diamondbacks from the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.

Upon leaving the team, Trumbo said:

"I'm a lifelong Angels fan, and all my memories as a kid revolve around the Angels, and as a pro, spent 10 years with the organization. It's all you ever know and these are the friends you meet. But you also understand as a player that these things are part of the game, and where the Angels stood, there were some holes that they needed to fill and only a few possible options as far as how they were going to do that. For me, looking at that situation, it's almost painfully obvious that either myself or Howie where the ones who were going to bring back what the team needed."

The Los Angeles Times first spotted the home's listing noting that Zachary Cates of West USA Realty Revelation is marketing the property.

The residence is a 4,600-square-foot single-family house that has five bedrooms and three and a half bathrooms.

Interiors of the contemporary home boast large glass doors and windows, hardwood flooring and high drywall ceilings. All the rooms in the house are super-spacious, which allow for ample ventilation.

Apart from the usual living areas, the house has a game room, a family room and a mud room. The kitchen is a fully-updated modern eat-in entertaining space.

The master suite has ample storage with walk-in closets and an en-suite luxury bathroom.

Outside, the home features a newly-added pool, a 12-person spa, a sports court, a putting green and a covered patio. The home also allows for a 10-car parking space.

The listing describes the house as an "immaculate" Arcadian dream. Below is an excerpt.

"Camelback Mountain views, and spectacular privacy. Professionally designed by Two Hawks Design, this floor plan is one that you will adore. Capturing Camelback Mountain views from almost every window, and the privacy of being tucked in a tree lined cul de sac. Large, spacious bedrooms equipped with Apple TV and mounted flat screens that will make your guests feel like they're at a 5 star resort."

Meanwhile, Trumbo's performance with the Diamondbacks has been good so far. The new GM Dave Stewart is pretty impressed with his performance.

"You have to like the potential. This is a guy who has 30-plus home runs in two seasons. You have to like that kind of player. And he's a young player, so we should not be the ones to miss out on his potential," Stewart said to Fox Sports.
