'Kingdom of Hearts 3' and 'Kingdom of Hearts HD 2.8' New Footage Revealed

"Kingdom of Hearts 3" and "Kingdom of Hearts HD 2.8" new trailer is released by Square Enix showcasing the new game play of the two titles.

The single trailer that is more than five minutes long was revealed over the weekend at Jump Festa 2015 in Japan. The clip gives a glimpse of "Kingdom Hearts: HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue," with snippets of "Kingdom Hearts 3," VG24/7 reported.

For the part where a short footage of "Kingdom Hearts 3" was featured, the characters are seen in a combat scene in the world of "Hercules" and "Tangled".

To recall, the "Kingdom Hearts 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue" is a compilation title which was announced during the Tokyo Game Show 2015 on September. Following the announcement is a trailer which has a different footage than the recently released video.

The highly anticipated game includes a new playable episode titled "Kingdom Hearts 0.2 Birth by Sleep — A Fragmentary Passage," a high-definition cinematics of an ancient tale "Kingdom Hearts X Back Cover," and a fully re-mastered "Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance" which is a Nintendo 3DS title that will soon be available on Playstation 4 next year, Polygon reported.

The "Fragmentary Passage" is played from the perspective of Aqua while the "Birth by Sleep" is linked to "Kingdom Hearts 3." But the most interesting of all is the cinematics for "Kingdom Hearts Unchained X" which "concerns a missing page to a prophecy the heroes don’t know about. That missing page refers to a traitor in the midst of the heroes that was likely stolen by the same traitor," Inquisitr reported.

Currently in development is "Kingdom Hearts 3," that will soon be available on PS4 and Xbox One but the release date isn't revealed yet. This game is the first full release after "Kingdom Hearts 2" back in 2005.

Aside from the new trailer, "Kingdom Hearts 3" details and footage has been released before to showcase a refined combat system and gameplay. The newly released footage shows fans how fighting will look like for the two "Kingdom of Hearts" titles.

Aside from Square Enix, Bandai Namco was also present during the Jump Festa which also made some game announcements.
