'Homeland' Season 5 Spoilers: Peter Quinn's Fake Death Causing Fans To Boycott The Showtime Series?

"Homeland" Season 5 recently saw another fake death storyline for Peter Quinn, and fans are no longer buying it.

According to Design & Trend, there are several reasons why the Showtime series could lose its loyal fans if they continue with this kind of approach in relation to Peter's character.

First, "Homeland" is well-known for its realistic plot lines. However, everything that has happened to Peter especially this season have led to the possibility of him being killed off. Still, the character survived after he protected Carrie Mathison. He once again survived the bacterial infection that he contracted. Additionally, he was also set on committing suicide but was convinced otherwise by the Jihadist doctor.

All of these circumstances have become confusing to fans who believe that Peter, no matter how loveable the character is, should have already died.

Meanwhile, the publication also claimed that the endless death storylines have become more of a ploy or a plot-stalling device.

It has reportedly become very obvious that Showtime and the producers of "Homeland" are trying to stretch Peter's fate on the show. It's also possible that the showrunners can no longer come up with exciting storylines, but the show still has to air throughout the entire season.

Lastly, the publication also claimed that Peter surviving so many chances at death somehow cheapens the concept of dying. "Homeland" has made fans believe that death is an avoidable circumstance or something that people can control, though this really isn't the case.

In other news, "Homeland" Season 5 was recently tied to a bomb threat in two public schools in Los Angeles.

During an interview with Deadline, New York Police Commissioner Bill Bratton said, "In reviewing it, the instigator of the threat may be a 'Homeland' fan, basically watching 'Homeland' episodes."

According to Bratton, recent cases in Los Angeles have become very similar to the cases presented on the show.
