Tech News: Night Light Option Now Available on Google Play Books

Reading has been the best recreational activity and stress reliever for a lot of people. And with the technology, reading electronic books using phones, tablets and even computers have been one of the things that people do.

However, the bright light of the gadgets is not really friendly to the eyes. It is a good thing that ‘Google Play Books’ are now equipped with a ‘night light’ option. Such function allows the reader to filter the blue light from the screen and replaces it with warmer amber light the darker the natural light that surrounds him gets.

"Night Light automatically adapts to the amount of natural sunlight outside based on the time of day, giving you just the right temperature and brightness. The color adjustment is more comfortable on your eyes and greatly improves low-light night reading," the Android blog says.

Just like the automatic brightness on every home, the feature recognizes both of the natural light and the time of the day. Then, it gives the reader the right amount of temperature and brightness that the eyes need to have a comfortable reading in while in bed.

To be able to get the option for your reading comfort, you need to update your Google Play Books app for Android or iOS to the latest version. Upon update, the phone or tablet will be able to use the night light feature through a pop-up notification in the app. After that, the app will adjust the settings to the needs of your eyes automatically.

Now, you can read more ebooks without having to compromise your beautiful and tantalizing eyes.

Do you like reading ebooks on your phone or tablet? Do you have the Google Play Books installed in your gadget? How do you find the latest ‘Night Light Option?'
