'The Big Bang Theory' Season 9 Spoilers: Penny & Leonard Losing Popularity & Storylines To Amy & Sheldon?

"The Big Bang Theory" Season 9 has focused mostly on Amy (Mayim Bialik) and Sheldon's (Jim Parsons) on-and-off-again relationship.

On her Grok Nation blog, Bialik said that she's one of the many others who didn't even want Amy and Sheldon to break up in the first place. However, the actress said that she understood it was necessary for the two character's development and growth.

"I've heard from a lot of people that they didn't like Amy and Sheldon broken up and you know what? I didn't like it either! I love any scenes at all that I have with Jim Parsons, but for sure I can say that I prefer doing scenes where Amy and Sheldon aren't broken up versus scenes where they are broken up," she wrote.

Meanwhile, fans of Penny (Kaley Cuoco) and Leonard (Johnny Galecki) have become extremely concerned as to why the two characters are no longer given nice storylines this season.

Earlier in season 9, Penny and Leonard wed. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Galecki revealed that his character and Penny will have a lot of hardships ahead. However, until today, fans haven't seen much about the newlyweds' struggles.

"I'm not sure. I've never been married. Part of our job is to hold a mirror up to the audience and be frank and honest and share our human flaws that we all have. There's a lot of hardship ahead," he said.

In other news, Amy and Sheldon will share a big moment in the upcoming 11th episode of "The Big Bang Theory" Season 9. In "The Opening Night Excitation," Sheldon will initiate a move that Amy has been waiting for all along. The two will talk about sex, have sex, and will reveal whether or not their first experience having sex is everything they hoped it would be like.

"The Big Bang Theory"Sseason 9 airs Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET on CBS.
