'New Girl' Season 5 Spoilers & Cast News: Megan Fox Slams Haters Of Reagan? Says Children Shouldn't Have Access To Social Media

"New Girl" Season 5 guest star Megan Fox is finally breaking her silence over critics who questioned her inclusion in the FOX show. The actress also revealed why she believes young children shouldn't have access to social media.

In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Fox said that she tries to stay away from social media because of all the negative things she could read about herself and other people.

"I think it's really toxic for our youth culture. There is a hierarchy in schools of who's the cool kid based on who has the most followers and who has the most likes. It's a really terrible message to wake up every day and have your kids going, 'Who liked my photo?' and 'Who's following me?'" she said.

Meanwhile, Fox also explained why she decided to delete her account on Twitter just after five days. According to her, there were some Megan Fox-obsessed kids whose tweets made her feel uncomfortable.

"When I was on Twitter for five days, I would have 12 and 13-year-old kids going, 'If you don't follow me back, I'm going to kill myself.' I was like this is f*cking awful. Parents should pay attention to that and have your kids off of it. You're not ready for that sh*t when you're a teenager. You need to be an adult before you can start messing around with that. It's irresponsible and it's dangerous," she said.

On a lighter note, Fox will play the role of a pharmaceutical sales rep named Reagan in "New Girl."

According to People, Reagan and Nick (Jake Johnson) shared a kiss on the set of the hit show. There were also some rumors that the two will get into a brief relationship with each other while Jess (Zooey Deschanel) is away.

"New Girl" Season 5 will premiere on FOX sometime in January 2016.
