'Sony PS5' News, Rumors, Specs, What We Want To See: PlayStation 5 To Be Disc-less With Game Streaming

The PlayStation 4 is certainly one of the most successful tech advancement so far. Selling over 30 million units worldwide, the device show no sign of quitting, which is why the "Sony PlayStation 5" carry high expectations before it. As per TechRadar, here are the things that Sony should do on the "Sony PlayStation 5":

Discs are so yesterday

Should disc use in "Sony PlayStation 5" be garbaged? Tech site TechRadar thinks so, considering that streaming capabilities is the new norm. Ben Wilson however, the ex editor of the Official PlayStation Magazine, begs to disagree to the idea. The PlayStation expert says that despite the fact that discs are becoming more and more unneeded, it looks like the use of it in PlayStations won't be phased out anytime soon.

4K and VR

The craving for a consumer version of the Oculus Rift has proved that VR or virtual reality may be something that our living rooms are already ready for. This raises the question, "Is PlayStation's future found inside a headset?"

PS5 can actually be cheap

The "Sony PlayStation 5" can also come as a cheap streaming box without a disc drive and can provide game streaming functions. It was said that the streaming functionality could come to the PS Vita and Bravia TVs, allowing for a full PS3 game to be played only by means of a DualShock 3 pad, and without having to own a PlayStation console. With that idea, PlayStation can only not offer PS3 games, but also the other versions as well. And it can't only be played on the PS's and Bravia TV's, but also on smart devices as well.

Furthermore, games can be acquired on a rental basis, with Netflix style subscription. With that thought, the future of gaming might as well rely on software and speedy internet, rather than on pricey black boxes. This means that PlayStation games can easily be played on any screened device.

However, this 'PlayStation future' is way off yet, so people who just splurged cash of the pricey consoles can still feel good. It's just good to know that a less expensive PlayStation experience is a possibility too.
