Fans are more than psyched to know that the guys from "Fast and Furious" will be back by 2017. As of their last sequel, "Fast and Furious 7," the film was able to gather around $1 billion as per Cinema Blend. Due to the fact that it was a box office hit, the makers decided to come up with a prequel, which will be "Fast and Furious 8." The previous film however ended with such closure that fans can't help but ask what's in store for them.

As of the latest update, Vin Diesel made an appearance at "Jimmy Kimmel Show," he then dished out some of the film's details. He did mention that Kurt Russel will be joining them for the upcoming film.

"You know I always think of these films multiple pictures in advance. I think of them as trilogies. Kurt Russell came in for this movie, but he was really, we really hired him because of a story that follows this. That takes place in New York."

Russel would still be portraying the role of a government agent named Mr. Nobody. He made a brief appearance in "Fast and Furious 7" and he'll be going back for Fast 8.

As for the rest of the cast, Yabida reported that the Academy Award Winner, Dame Helen Mirren, 70, will be joining the cast of "Furious 8" as well.

During an interview with MTV, Vin Diesel shared that:

"I think everyone should do the franchise. They've gotta get in line behind Helen Mirren. She is on the list. Be careful what you wish for, Helen."

In addition to Mirren, old cast members will be making a comeback as well. The cast would also include Paul Walker's younger brother, Cody Walker. As per reports, Cody might be taking on the role of Brian O' Conner's younger brother. It was then added that his character's family had died in war.
