'New Girl' Season 5 Spoilers, News, Updates, Trailer: Megan Fox and Fred Armisen Featured in Promo Video

"New Girl" Season 5 reveal that two new guests will be joining the show that will debut on Jan. 5 next year.

To add to the fan's excitement, FOX released the promo for "New Girl" Season 5 entitled, "New Girl Is Back." The 30 second long promo give fans a quick glimpse of the upcoming season.

It features the new girl, Megan Fox who joined the show since main cast Zooery Deschanel is still on maternity leave. Fox will temporarily replace Deschanel. To insert Fox into the show, the storyline featured that the character of Deschanel, Jess Day will be sequestered in jury duty.

With that, Fox's character, Reagan came to the show. As previously reported, Reagan is a "gorgeous, straight-shooting pharmaceutical sales representative" who will rent the loft of Jess. In the promo video, it appears that Nick looks nervous when he saw Reagan and started sweating.

Fox's character Reagan will be introduced in the sixth episode of the Season 5, entitled "No Girl." It is said that the cast and show runners are impressed of Fox's performance during the filming and that if ratings are high with her appearance, she might become a show regular, according to People.

Aside from seeing Fox on the promo, it also features Fred Armisen who was dressing up to be playing Jess Day 2.0. Apparently, he isn't successful in convincing Nick and Schmidt that he is Jess, Cross Map noted.

Guest stars Megan Fox and Fred Armisen aren't the only ones who will add spice to the show. Other guests for the fifth season are Peter Gallagher, John Cho, Taran Killam, Julie Hagerty, Henry Winkler, Sam Richarson, Rob Riggle, and Nasim Pedrad.

"New Girl" Season 5 will also be celebrating the 100th episode since Season 4 finished with 94 episodes. It is noted that Reagan will be introduced on the 100th episode which would mean that the leading character of Deschanel will be missing the important mark of in "New Girl's" history.
