Android 6.0 Marshmallow Update: OS Comes to Samsung Galaxy S6 in January After Galaxy Note 5; Changes Include Manual Camera Settings Adjustments

Android 6.0 Marshmallow software update allows Samsung Galaxy S6 users to take things to the next level.

Samsung Galaxy S6 is set to receive the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update. Recently leaked Samsung Galaxy S6 photos showed a screenshot of the device's manual camera mode and new interface, which will be running on Google's latest operating system.

Samsung Galaxy S6 leaked snapshots show the Android Marshmallow upgrade to come with a manual camera option for the Samsung device, Android Authority reported. This means that users will be able to manually set up the speed of the camera shutter, its exposure, white balance, and ISO, which were all added up to the app's interface. This is definitely a good news for Samsung Galaxy S6 photography enthusiasts who would like to have these special features on their mobile device.

Google had launched Material Design a few years ago along with the release of Android L. The leading search engine company clearly wanted Android to head to a higher direction as far as interface design is concerned. The theme used to just be blue and black styled Holo, but with the release of the Android 5.0 Lollipop software, it has been changed to more colorful and responsive flat theme, Android Headlines reported.

Since its release, Material Design was able to reach several of Google's online products as well as a couple of Android apps. A number of Google partners also followed this step.

Samsung and LG, some known Android manufacturers, are known for creating skins over the Android that comes with 3D styled icons that imitate real-world objects.

Android 6.0 Marshmallow software update for the Galaxy S6 is now undergoing testing. Its official release is scheduled to begin in January. Meanwhile, Galaxy Note 5, will be getting the same upgrade this month, according to the leaked roadmap, Phone Arena reported.
