AirBNB sure has its quirks! The iconic house featured on the "Real World: Los Angeles" can now be rented for only $145 a night. The house, dubbed as the Venice House, was used for filming during the second season of the reality show. Now called the Mountain Beach House Suite, LA Curbed reports that the listing is very popular among AirBNB users. Who wouldn't want to bask in some reality TV history?

At a reasonable $145 a night rate, the renter can enjoy the 700 square foot suite with the 400 square foot deck and a private balcony. Imagine all the booze-filled parties one could hold just like how they did back in filming in 1992! It has all the luxurious features like a walk-in shower and it's very close to the beautiful sandy beach. Photos can be seen on the listing on AirBNB.

Now that AirBNB is at its height of popularity, many are running after the website for alleged illegal use of some hosts - specifically in New York, as recent reports emerged that 55% of hosts are actually illegally leasing their apartments. ThinkProgress wrote a piece entitled 'The True Cost of Being an AirBNB Host,' and they say that the reason why there are so many hosts in the United States is because cost of living is high and rental rates seem to soar as time passes. New York City Council has criticized the business for allowing hosts to run 'illegal hotels' or have multiple units rented at the same time.

AirBNB defends itself by saying that they have been helping these hosts financially since the rent problem seems to get worse in the country. They claim that hosts use their service as an 'economic lifeline,' and this move made by the owner of the Real World: Los Angeles isn't surprising as they already have a selling point with the property -- might as well make a small profit out of it through short-term rentals.
