Four Mysterious Characters in 'Mortal Kombat X' Kombat Pack 2 To be Revealed At Game Awards

The four new fighters that will be included in Kombat Pack 2 in "Mortal Kombat X" will finally be revealed this week.

Previously, it has been reported that the "Teen Age Mutant Ninja Turtles" have been ruled out after Ed Boon himself said "No" via Twitter. It is also a known fact that he has no desire to see Batman or Superman's head get mutilated in the game. And While cartoonist Todd McFarlene is agreeable to have Spawn added to "Mortal Kombat X," it is unlikely for Spawn to be added in the upcoming DLC.

According to GameRant, the four mysterious fighters will be named during the Game Awards 2015 event that will happen on Dec. 3 to Dec. 5. However, it has not been confirmed whether NetherRealm Studios or Ed Boom will reveal all four identities or just one or a couple of them.

Besides the identity of the four new fighters, fan are hoping to learn more about what "Mortal Kombat X" creator Ed Boon had been teasing to come along with Kombat Pack 2. He has previously said that the Kombat Pack 2 will include characters similar to the first DLC and with new character skins, classic arenas and even a "Jurassic mode" gameplay.

According to Yibada, the first Kombat Pack DLC added Tremor and Tanya as playable fighters and two guest characters Jason Voorhees and Predator. The speculations will soon end after Game Awards 2015 until then fans are still listing down possible names such as Ghost Face, Michael Meyers, Marcos Fenix and The Joker among others.

With regards to the launch date, many fans suppose that the Kombat Pack 2 will be launched in April 2016 but NetherRealm has yet to confirm it. Hopefully, the official release date will be announced along with the unveiling of the new character.
