California Real Estate News: CCL Holdings the New Owners of the Two Bunch Palms Spa Resort in Desert Hot Springs

The higher-ups of the Two Bunch Palms Spa Resort has announced that the 75-year old resort will now be under the ownership of the Southern California-based company, CCL Holdings.

            "Two Bunch Palms is leading the industry as the first sustainable wellness resort of its kind in the country, and we are thrilled that CCL is committed to promoting sustainable wellbeing," said Kevin Kelly, Chief Executive Officer of Two Bunch Palms. "We look forward to enhancing the guest experience with plans of building a world class spa/wellness center, additional hotel rooms, a second hot mineral springs grotto and swimming pool beginning in 2016."

            According to the press release of Two Bunch Palms in PR Newswire, the resort spa has undergone a series of renovations and developments in the last two years. These renovations include the redecoration of existing rooms, the addition of new rooms and suites, a new farm-to-table restaurant, and improvements to the infrastructure and the public areas. Two Bunch Palms also rebranded their famous healing water that is considered to be among the top 10 hot springs in the world.

            "We're very excited to share the vision that has been started by the previous owners and [to] move forward with the next phase of expansion," said Tim Chun, Vice President of CCL. 

            The Two Bunch Palms Spa Resort will be under the new management company JRNL Two Bunch Palms, an affiliate of CCL Holdings. The new management will retain the leadership team led by John Trudeau, Managing Director, and Rianna Riego, Executive Director of Brand & Communication, with Kevin Kelly as its Chief Executive Officer.

  Independent film producer and former chair of the Two Bunch Palms Resort Spa, Donald Kushner, together with other previous owners, will retain the undeveloped land surrounding the Two Bunch Palms.

Two Bunch Palms Spa Resort has been in operation since the 1940s and has been known as a discreet hideaway for Hollywood celebrities, notorious historic gangsters, and those seeking healing from its unique mineral lithium rich hot springs.
