'The Vampire Diaries' News, Schedule: Nina Dobrev's Departure Made Ratings Drop; TVD Moved To Friday, Will This Be the Last Season?

"The Vampire Diaries" fans are a bit worried as their favorite soap was moved to a Friday time slot. It's been a known fact that most shows that would be moved to a Friday schedule would usually come to an end. As per Celeb Dirty Laundry, starting January 29, 2016, TVD would be moved from Thursday to Friday.

This being said, not all Friday shows are deteriorating, as "Bones" is doing great on a Friday schedule. Nina Dobrev's absence however is quite noticeable and is said to have caused "problems" for "The Vampire Diaries" season 7. As per the website, the cast is "growing tired" of Ian Somerhalder being on the spotlight most of the time.

Dobrev's departure did have a great impact on the show as the ratings dropped by 33% for TVD season 7.

In addition to the report, Celeb Dirty Laundry then added Ian has a diva behavior which irked his cast mates. It was even stated that his castmates would want to have him fired so that Dobrev would return to the show. These allegations however are just rumors.

As per International Business Times, "The Vampire Diaries" used to average 1.5 million views last year, it then dropped to only 1.2 million this year as per TV Series Finale's reports. It actually had a huge decrease which is used to hit a 3.6 million average during its first season. It then continually decreased as time passed. As per the website, it wouldn't be surprising if "The Vampire Diaries" would eventually end after season 7.
