Natasha Henstridge of “Species” fame sells Sherman Oaks home for $1.65 million

Natasha Henstridge, the model-turned-actress who is better known for appearing in "Species" films, has just sold her nondescript 3,476-square-foot home in Sherman Oaks, California, for $1.65 million, reports the Los Angeles Times.

An earlier report in the RealEstalker says a double-gated driveway meanders to the front of the house, which was constructed in 1961. The house includes four bedrooms and four full and one half bathrooms. The master suite features vaulted ceilings, glass doors opening to the backyard, a travertine-tiled bathroom with double sinks and detached shower and tub. It also has two large custom-made walk-in closets.

The main living area of the 30-year-old actress' home is accessed by a wide half-flight of stairs. The living area includes a spacious living-cum-dining space with a fireplace, hardwood flooring, vaulted ceiling and tall windows overlooking the backyard.

The gourmet kitchen features a center island, customized cabinetry, top-of-the-line stainless steel appliances, granite counter tips, and glass doors that lead to the breakfast area. You can access a stone terrace surrounding the pool from the breakfast area.

On the outside, the property includes a lush green lawn, excellent for entertaining. The place also several mature trees, a sports court, a spa and a swimming pool with a waterfall encircling the house. It is complete with a shaded dining terrace and a stone terrace. The house comes with a two-car garage.

Public records show that Henstridge acquired the property along with singer-songwriter and her former husband Darius Campbell for $1.3 million in 2011. A year later the couple filed for divorce. She listed the property in January for an asking price of $1.75 million.

The property is listed with Matt Epstein of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices.

According to the RealEstalker, notwithstanding her humble beginnings, Henstridge has owned more than five homes in the Sherman Oaks area. In December 2003, she acquired a five-bedroom house in Sherman Oaks for $1,360,000 and unloaded it for $1,750,000 in August 2009. She has sold four more houses in the area between May 1999 and June 2003.
