Miley Cyrus develops severe allergic reactions, hospitalized

Miley Cyrus has been hospitalized and told to rest after developing a severe allergic reaction caused by antibiotics.

Cyrus was quick to inform fans in St. Louis of the news.

"I can't get a hold of my team because it is so early so I want to be the one to tell my fans especially the ones trekking to get there," the artist tweeted from her hospital bed on Wednesday morning, adding, "the hospital is sayin i won't b released today, therefore Im not going 2 make it 2 St Louis. Im so sorry but somethings are outta my control."

Earlier, the 21-year-old singer, who was scheduled to perform at the Sprint Center, Kansas City, during the Bangrez tour, tweeted to her fans on Tuesday: "Kansas I promise I'm as heartbroken you are. I wanted so badly 2 b there 2night. Not being with y'all makes me feel sh***ier than I already do," adding, "Mr. Octopussy & some amazing Drs are taking good care of me."

An official statement released from the venue read: "Miley Cyrus' Bangerz Tour date scheduled for tonight, April 15, at Sprint Center in Kansas City has been canceled. Cyrus has been hospitalized for a severe allergic reaction to antibiotics and has been placed on medical rest by her doctors. She will not be able to perform as scheduled."

The Bangerz Tour is the fourth concert tour by Cyrus, held in support of her fourth studio album "Bangerz," released in 2013. It commenced in Vancouver at the Rogers Arena on Feb. 14, and will conclude in Europe on May 2.

The month has been a rough one for Cyrus, who called off her show in Charlotte, N.C., April 7 after coming down with the flu. Later, her dog Floyd was killed by a coyote and she openly expressed her distress via various social media messages. During her show in Boston, Cyrus' performance included a tearful rendition of Fleetwood Mac's "Landslide," which she dedicated to Floyd.
