Lil Wayne’s Tour Bus Shooter Verdict: 10 Years in Prison, 10 Years On Probation

The man who shot Lil Wayne’s tour bus gets his final verdict. Jimmy Carlton Winfrey, who pled guilty to the charges against him, gets an indictment of 20 years.

In April, the rapper's tour bus was shot multiple times in Atlanta. No injuries were reported in the said incident. Winfrey allegedly committed the crime to raise his 'gang status.' In connection to the assault, he received a total of 27 charges, including aggravated assault, terroristic threats and acts, criminal damage, possession of a firearm by a felon, criminal gang activity, reckless conduct and discharging a weapon near the street, according to The Indy Channel.

Winfrey will be spending a decade of his sentence behind bars and another decade on probation.

Winfrey initially told that he was just an accessory for Bryan "Birdman" Williams, who has been in a court battle with Wayne for almost the whole year of 2015. Moreover, he also involved Young Thug in the planning of the said incident, a claim that both Thugster and Birdman denied.

In spite of having a bitter beef between Wayne, Thugster and the Cash Money boss, Birdman, they have been silent ever since the shooting happened. Without any agreements or the like, the Cash Money executive admitted that he still loved his longtime artist and Thug is not throwing the friendship either, according to a report by Design & Trend.

"I'd have to be a monster to overlook that. I'm not that type of person. I'd have to be a monster to say 'I don't believe you.' If he says it's from the heart and he's some kind of fan, then I love him. Thanks, bro. I appreciate everything about it. If he's a fan,” said the Young Money rapper about Thug claiming he was a fan.

The public hasn’t heard anything from Wayne about the bus shooting, nor his lawsuit with Cash Money Records.

The settlement of the said lawsuit will most probably be completed in 2016.

Could it be because they already have agreed? Would the "Carter V" project still be possible?
