Taylor Swift ranked No. 1 on Billboard’s 2014 Money Makers rich list

Taylor Swift, multi-Grammy Award-winning singer and songwriter, has been ranked number one on the 2014 Money Makers rich list of Billboard for crushing on almost all levels during 2013.

The "Red" singer earned the maximum revenue from all avenues, including touring and physical as well as digital sales. Taylor earned a massive $39,699,575 from these sources. While album sales of Swift were eight among all musicians listed on Billboard's Money Makers, her digital downloads was has high as 10 million, placing her sixth on the list.

Touring revenues of the 24-year-old pop singer were higher than any other artist on the planet. She was ranked fifth in terms of her earnings from royalties. Billboard Boxscore estimates that she earned $30 million in revenues from her six-month The Red Tour in the United States last year. In fact, Swift is the second singer after Madonna to perform to packed stadia in Australia.

Although Swift's merchandise sales as well as the money she received from different sponsorships, such as Elizabeth Arden, Diet Coke and Keds canvas shoes, were not taken into account in the Billboard Money Makers list, it is estimated that she is likely to have earned no less than $11 million from these sources.

Swift secured the top position on the list just two years ago, when she raked in $35,719,902.

Kenny Chesney, another country superstar, was the closest competitor to Swift on this year's list, earning $32,956,240, mainly banking on "Life on a Rock", his seventh Billboard 200 chart-topper and his No Shoes Nation stadium tour. Justin Timberlake, who raked in $31,463,297, was a close third on the list.
