Justin Bieber never got along with his neighbors, but we hope Khole Kardashain, who has just spent $7.2 million to purchase the 'Baby' hitmaker's gated posh house in the affluent Calabasas community, Calif.
US Weekly reports the news comes close on the heels of the 29-year-old Kardashain selling her Tarzana, Calif., mansion a month ago and the listing of the 'Kardashain' house in Studio City for $6.25 million a few days back.
Twenty-year-old Bieber paid $6.5 million for this sprawling home in April 2012, but decided to sell it quietly following a series of confrontations with the local police and neighbors over alleged reckless driving and loud parties, respectively. In one such incident, Bieber allegedly threw eggs at his neighbors, compelling the police to raid his home and start an investigation into the allegations.
His neighbor Jeffrey Schwartz complained to the cops that he caught the Canadian pop musician in the act. Schwartz also videotaped some of the verbal exchange. He told the cops that Bieber threw at least 20 eggs at his home, causing some $20,000 worth of damage to his Venetian plaster and stained wood exterior.
Schwartz seems to be relieved now and expects things to improve. "I'm very happy. It's been a little hush-hush, but we've known for a little while," he said, adding, "I'll take a Kardashian over a Bieber any day of the week," he told New York Daily News. "I'm sure she's harmless. And I hope it's great for her. I'm sure it will be great for us."
Fred Gaines, the city's mayor, told the Los Angeles Times in Jan., "The fact that a talented international musician like Mr. Bieber chooses to live in Calabasas is certainly a feather in our cap and a tribute to our safe and beautiful community," adding, "[But] the peace and privacy of our residents is the city's top priority. We have unfortunately had a number of breaches of the peace related to Mr. Bieber and his residence, and the sheriff has acted appropriately in addressing those incidents."
Bieber has the left sleepy Calabasas neighborhood soon after the alleged egg assault, he was arrested in Miami Beach Jan. 23 after a cop allegedly caught him drag racing a loaner Lamborghini on a sleepy residential street. Meanwhile,Khloe Kardashian has filed for divorce from Lamar Odom in December and subsequently sold their martial home in Tarzana to the "Big Bang Theory" actress Kaley Cuoco for $5.49 million in January.
