Lauren Conard Buys Laguna Beach Home for $8.5 Million

Lauren Conard, television personality, fashionista and author, has just spent $8.5 million to acquire a marvelous oceanfront single-level home in Laguna Beach, CA, reports Zillow. The property sits on a one-acre lot and offers spectacular views of the shoreline extending from Santa Catalina to Los Angeles.

Nestled above the sandy Mussel Cove beaches, Conrad's new home fits her designer status perfectly. It offers a combination of "old world" luxuries and modern amenities. The restored beamed ceilings and wooden floors add to the estate's appeal.

Built in 1937, this immaculately remodeled 2,910-square-foot home includes three bedrooms and three and a half bathrooms.  The gourmet kitchen comes with honed granite slabs and is fitted with sophisticated appliances. It also has a spacious living room and a large dining area.

On the outside, the property has a private deck and an adjoining stone staircase leading to the shore. It also features an elegant swimming pool, ideal for entertaining, and a two-car garage.

According to Realtor, this oceanfront home appeared in the market in January. Around the same time, the MTV realty show host listed her 2,280-square-foot Laguna Beach property for $2,795,000. She adjusted the asking later and it is currently listed for $2,695,000.

In addition, to these two Orange County properties, the 28-year-old fashion designer owns a 2,200-square-foot penthouse in Beverly Hills, which she bought for $1.35 million in 2012, and another $3,745,000 single-family residence in Brentwood.

Conrad became popular after hosting the MTV reality series "Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County," which was broadcast from 2004-2006 and the sequel, "The Hills." The blonde star has also tried her hand in fashion and launched her own fashion line and an online artisan shop. She has authored a number of books, including the New York Times bestseller "L.A. Candy."

Conrad and her boyfriend William Tell announced their engagement in October 2013.
