Game developer EA has officially announced that it will release a new update for "Plants vs. Zombies 2." The game's new update is titled as "Jurassic Marsh Part One."
It was said that the update will be released on Fall and will add three new dinosaurs. Aside from the new dinosaurs, several prehistoric-themed plants and zombies will also be introduced in the game. Players can download the game via App Store and Google Play using their smartphones, a report from Gamespot said on Wednesday.
"New plants include those with some primal abilities, such as the Primal Peashooter that can instantly stun, the Primal Wall-nut that offers protection, and the Grapeshot Premium Plant that explodes and scatters projectiles that bounce to damage zombies. The three dinosaurs being introduced with the update include the Raptor, a dinosaur which has the ability to kick a zombie forward down the lane, a Stegosaurus with the ability to catapult zombies into adjacent lanes, and the Pterodactyl," the report said.
According to the report, EA will be staging a 12-day Mega Word Wide Event which will be called the "Food Fight." It was said that the event will officially kick off on Nov. 18. The "Food Fight" event is expected to feature several autumn-themed plants and zombie costumes.
"Players will also be able to use two Special Edition Premium Plants, including the returning Sweet Potato and Dandelion plants. The Jurassic Marsh Part One update will have 16 levels and include autumn-themed zombies such as the Turkey Zombie, Gobbler King Zombie, and Chefster Zombie."
"The great thing about games like Plants vs. Zombies 2 is that they take an incredibly simple concept like a tower defense game and add on infinite updates and iterations. Just when you think a concept has been done to death, like Plants and Zombies killing each other over and over again, PopCap and EA surprise us yet again with another beefy and interesting update. This time, Plants vs. Zombies 2 is going back in time to the prehistoric age with the Jurassic Marsh update," Gamezebo said.
