Oklahoma Snoopers’ coach Bob Stoops sells Norman Estate

Bob Stoops, Oklahoma Sooners head coach, has finally succeeded in selling his 6,156-square-foot estate in Norman, Okla. two years after it was first put on the market.

Realtor.com reports that Stoops listed the property for the first time in March 2012 for $2.1 million, but dropped it to $1.65 million in January after it sat unsold. Records show that the house eventually changed hands at the end of February for a little over $1,465,000.

Built in 2002, this Mediterranean-style house features five bedrooms, including two master suites, and five full and one half bathrooms. It also includes three living rooms and three fireplaces, in addition to a wood-finished office and a gourmet kitchen.

The luxurious interiors include vaulted ceilings and stained concrete floors. On the outside, Stoops has created a small "home away from home" in a cabana located beside a vast pool. The cozy abode includes a fireplace, a grill and a flat-screen TV.

Many speculated that Stoops was planning to leave Oklahoma when he listed the property two years ago. However, the coach has only shifted homes, moving to a multi-million-dollar residence he built.

During the 2000 season, the champion coach led his team to an Orange Bowl victory. In all, Stoops has won one NFL championship, eight B 12 championships and a total of 160 games during the last 15 years.
