'Destiny The Taken King' News and Updates: Players Can Purchase Legendary Swords; Iron Banner Will Make a Comeback

Bungie wants to share the gaming experience of 'Destiny: The Taken King' to as many gamers as possible.

After Destiny had gotten quite a number of complaints due to its alleged lack of content, the developers of the game has recently announced some major updates and features to promote the game. As part of its weekly update, the developers revealed that gamers could get clues about the program hidden within the update this November once it is released next week.

The update says, "We're planning something new to recognize and reward the Sherpas among you. We are calling it Refer-a-Friend. Maybe you have a friend who will be getting Destiny as a gift this season. Perhaps their gift-giver will even be picking it up for them at a holiday sale coming to a store near you. If you intend to show them the way to the mountaintop, we'll have new rewards aimed at recognizing your service to the Kinderguardian."

In addition to the refer-a-friend program, developers said the update in November will give the gamers an added ability to buy legendary swords from Lord Shaxx. However, this opportunity would only be given to those who have already acquired at least one sword and leveled it up to exotic by winning one of the more difficult quests. Gamers used to acquire swords by playing a one-time quest so this is quite a big deal for them. Before, the only way one could acquire more swords is if they make another character play through the quest along with the other characters.

According to Destructoid, the Quiver bug will finally be resolved for Hunters and iron banner will make a comeback. Also, players will be allowed to buy weapon parts from the gunsmith.

A few details are still on the works but there will surely be more offering and updates for the players according to Bungie.
