The "Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns" expansion highlighted its new additional raids in the game, as the developer of the critically acclaimed open-world Massive Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game (MMORPG) ArenaNet has announced. This is the first of the many upcoming raids for the IP that they have added and which will be rolling in by next week.
They announced that the first raid in the game will be "Enter Spirit Vale," the initial wing of the first raid in "Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns," and will tackle the greatest challenge yet, the official website announced. Built on top of the action combat and dynamic event systems, raids in "Guild Wars 2" are instanced, ten player content designed to become the ultimate test of a player's skill.
MMORPG raids each have different backstories just like the Spirit Vale of "Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns." In the said post by ArenaNet, the developer added that, "a Pact squad has gone missing in northern Maguuma, and you and your allies are their only hope for recovery. But the deadly forest isn't the only risk to the rescue operation--the area holds dark secrets and strange magic."
Other than the backstories and the new added team UI, in the post on the first raid - also known as the Wings - game developer ArenaNet also said that it will reward the gamers with tons of wonderful items. These items will serve as components or essential requirements which can be used to create the new legendary armors which were also recently added to the IP. Other than the amazing items, players will also have the chance to loot ascended gears, miniatures and never before seen weapon skins.
The "Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns" Spirit Vale raid will be rolling out on Nov. 17 and according to PC Gamer, the raid will be a three "wing" raid which ArenaNet did not release any information about.
