"Sister Wives" will conclude its season 6 with an explosive revelation from first wife Meri Brown. The season finale, entitled "Meri Catfished," will deal with the drama behind Meri's shocking scandal and how this will affect the entire Brown family.
Last October, news broke that 44-year-old Meri was having an affair with a guy over the Internet who turned out to be a female scammer named Jackie Overton. Fans of the reality series called this Meri's "catfish" scandal. "Catfishing" is a term for people who use different identities on the Internet to lure their victims.
In the sneak peek released by TLC, Meri is seen finally confessing her affair to husband Kody, and the three other wives over dinner.
"I'm in this place where I just feel so alone, isolated, lonely. I don't think anybody in my family can relate," she says in between tears.
Kody, the patriarch of this famous polygamist family, has been married to Meri for more than 24 years. He has yet to give a statement over this revelation.
Meanwhile, Meri's catfish, Samuel Cooper, has come out insisting that he is real and that he is what he claimed he was -- a male businessman. He claims that Meri, on the other hand, is lying to save face.
"For about the 100th time, I did not catfish her. I am a guy named Samuel. What you will see on the next episode is her saying we never met, she will claim I sent her fake photos, she will say we did not have sex, and she will say that I deceived her. All lies," he wrote on a blog called "No Batman Yet."
To further prove his identity, Cooper also posted intimate photos of Meri during their affair.
"She is doing all she can to set herself up the innocent victim and preparing America to witness the 'real story' behind all the headlines. Reality TV is not real," he wrote.
Cooper concluded by saying that his love for Meri is real and that despite everything, he still loves her.
While many fans are outraged by Meri's cheating, others have given their support. Hollywood Life reported that some fans are even urging Meri to leave Kody and find her one true love.
