‘Sister Wives’ Season 6 Finale Spoilers: Meri Brown Confesses Her 'Online Affair' with a Woman, Cries over 'Catfishing' Scandal

Meri Brown finally confessed her online affair to her polygamist husband Kody Brown together with her sister wives. All of them were surprised to hear about her online affair during a preview scene in "Sister Wives" season 6 finale.

"During an emotional and vulnerable time earlier this year, I began speaking with someone online who turned out to be not who they said they were," Meri told People.

In October, Meri confirmed that she was deceived in her online relationship when it turned out she was not having conversations with a man but a woman instead.

In the preview of "Sister Wives" season 6 finale, Meri confessed her affair to her family. "I started talking to this person online. He was just saying all the right things," she said.

The preview revealed how her husband Kody found it strange to hear her first wife sound like she's saying goodbye. "It's weird, some of the words she's saying. It sounds like she's leaving," Kody stated. It seemed that the Brown family was having a serious conversation while Meri talked about the affair.

In the season 6 finale promo video entitled "Meri Catfished," Meri can be seen crying over the person who "catfished" her. She admitted her family was clueless about it.

"Catfishing" is a word used to describe the phenomenon in which a person creates mutiple online profiles to deceive others into having relationships with them. The term became popular after the release of Nev Schulman's documentary show entitled, "Catfish," in 2010 and "MTVs" spinoff reality series.

Meanwhile, All About Tea reported that Meri was planning to leave her husband Kody for her newfound mate named Sam, the woman who introduced herself as "Samuel Cooper" throughout their online affair.

However, after her revelation in the season 6 finale, fans are yet to see what Meri Brown's plan really is.

"Sister Wives" is a hit TLC reality series that follows the story of a family patriarch (Kody Brown) with four wives (Meri, Janelle, Christine and Robyn) and their 17 children. The shocking season 6 finale will be aired on Nov. 15, Sunday.
