Celebrity Real Estate: NBA Center Nazr Mohammed, Now Contemplating Retirement, Purchases Charlotte Home

After 17 seasons dribbling the ball for a variety of teams, NBA center Nazr Mohammed is now contemplating retirement. Mohammed, who won a championship with the San Antonio Spurs 10 years ago, is currently a free agent and has yet to sign for the 2015-16 season for a team interested to take him.

According to Realtor, the 6-foot-10 center has devoted his services for eight squads, including Charlotte, over his entire career with the NBA. The player has also taken a fancy for the Carolinas. The 38-year-old basketball player, who is now on the verge of retirement, has just purchased a Southern-style home in Charlotte for $2,026,000. The 6,330-square-foot home has great features of traditional and modern designs. The house makes a great addition to Mohammed's real estate properties in Lexington and Louisville, KY.

The updated kitchen of the house features a dark hardwood floor, white cabinetry, and exposed wood beams. The wood paneling in the study room pairs nicely with the big window and arched alcove. The master bathroom features a marble floor, subway tiles, and plenty of space. The tub sits simply in a small private room.

Based on the report, he is keeping himself busy and has recently walked the runway at the annual fashion show for the Woman's Board of Rush University Medical Center.

Mohammed's sports blog named 'Nazr Mohammed', posted that he is a free agent and is currently at a point where he's trying to decide what to do next - to continue playing basketball or to pursue a post-playing career. There are a few factors that make the decision kind of tough for him.

One thing is that he still loves playing basketball and everything about this game - the competition, the camaraderie, and working together with a group of guys towards a common goal of winning a championship. His passion for this game today is still the same as it was when he first discovered that he was going to be pretty good in it back in grade school.
