It was previously reported that a few months back, Australian businessman James Packer bought a real estate property under $2 million. The house is located in a beachside suburb in Caesarea, halfway between Haifa and Tel Aviv in Israel, a report from Property Observer said.
"The new Packer home is about a 1000sqm block with a sea-fronting 300sqm home originally built by an elderly Italian Jewish lady. For the past six months it has been undergoing a total revamp at Packer's instructions with the property to go up a storey or two and include a new 16m by 7m swimming pool and large entertainment area," The Advertiser said.
It was said that Packer's home can be found in Cluster 6, also known as the "Hayam" Cluster. His mansion sits next to the official residence of Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, whom Packer reportedly calls friend.
Property Observer reports that listings of the suburb in Tel Aviv, Israel was sourced from So The Buy Realty International show, which said that a luxury home in Caesarea has a market price of $12.5 million.
"Caesarea has the country's only full-size golf course, which originated after James de Rothschild was reminded by the dunes surrounding Caesarea of Scotland's sandy links golf courses," the report said, adding that "modern Caesarea had a population of 4,500 people, the only Israeli locality managed by a private organization, the Caesarea Development Corporation."
Meanwhile, Herald Sun previously reported that Packer sold his former home with ex-wife Erica Baxter. "Billionaire casino tycoon James Packer and his former wife Erica Baxter have sold their virtually vacated Vaucluse compound for the highest price ever paid for a property in Australia. The six-level uber-mansion La Mer sold off-market for a reputed $60 million-plus. Few knew the high-profile family had rolled the dice testing the strength of the prestige Sydney market," the report said.
Packer is now in a relationship with American singer Mariah Carey and both of them are actively dating. According to recent reports, Carey has actually moved in with the business tycoon. Back in June, Carey and Packer made a quick tour in Israel.
Packer is said to be fourth richest person in Australia and has an estimated net worth of $6.4 billion, according to Celebrity Net Worth.
