Ejiofor, who previously starred in films such as "Amistad" and "12 Years a Slave," is said to be the perfect fit for the role of Baron Mordo. According to Comic Book, Baron Mordo is a power-hungry villain in the "Doctor Strange" comics, who started out being friends with Dr. Steven Strange while the two were studying mystic arts. Their friendship crumbles as their mentor, The Ancient One, chooses Dr. Strange as his successor.
As previously reported, Benedict Cumberbatch takes on the role as Dr. Steven Strange, a renowned neurosurgeon who loses the use of his hands in a tragic car accident. In search of a cure, he goes to Tibet. There, he meets The Ancient One, an extremely powerful sorcerer who eventually lures him into the mystic arts.
