"Scandal" Season 5 is only two episodes left before its fall finale and fans can definitely expect for more exciting episodes and probably a cliffhanger to keep everyone glued to their seats. The official synopses for the last two episodes of the ABC series have been released and it seems like Mellie's (Bellamy Young) out to do whatever it takes to take Olitz down for good.
In "Scandal" Season 5 Episode 8 titled "Rasputin," Olivia (Kerry Washington) will be welcoming a guest at the White House, who will be disclosing an important information, Carter Matt reported on the episode's official synopsis. Olivia will then have to rely on her instincts while Fitz (Tony Goldwyn) keeps himself busy with a peace deal.
Aside from this, fans and viewers will also see Jake seek the help of Huck in order to find his target. The outlet also noted that the promo for the upcoming episode of the show seemingly hinted that Olivia and Fitz's relationship may suffer greatly during the series' last two episodes.
"It's a betrayal, and an emotional one that the two have not withstood this season," the publication mentioned.
It looks like this plot on Olitz will be the show's cliffhanger before it goes into a temporary break. Spoilers for the midseason finale episode of "Scandal" titled, "Baby, It's Cold Outside" seemingly hints that the pressure of becoming the First Lady is starting to get the most out of Olivia, another report from Carter Matt stated.
Mellie, on the other hand, will make use of this to her advantage, as she works on everything she can to destroy Fitz and Olivia. Jake (Scott Foley) and Huck (Guillermo Diaz) will also continue with their search for Rowan.
