5 Ways To Fill Empty, Awkward Corners

Your space is looking all good and stylish, but you can't help but notice a couple of empty awkward spaces that you have no idea what to do with.

If you are having a hard time coming up with unique ideas for those unused space, here are 5 ways to fill empty, awkward corners according to Apartment Therapy:

An epic cat tower

Find your cat a new place to hang other than your sofa and countertops; build a cat tower in that empty corner in the living room that your furry friend will enjoy and your furniture will thank you for. But if you are not really into cats, an interesting and similar idea is to build a slim vertical storage for knick knacks and small home accessories.

A bar

Are you a wine person and enjoys having yourself a glass after a long day's work? Create your very own mini bar in an empty corner; all you really need is a small cart that can be easily pushed and pulled or perhaps an occasional table to put your wine and cheese.

Blanket rack

When the weather gets cold, a blanket at arm's reach would come in handy. A blanket rack is slim and won't take up so much space so it's a perfect piece of furniture to fit in that empty space between the wall and your sofa.

Large antique object

Create an interesting composition of unique antique items in that empty, unused corner. A medieval inspired clay pot, an antique tripod, a birdcage; it could be anything that will add character to the room. If you have some pieces with no traditional places to go, consider collating them in that available spot and impress your friends.

Lighting

Brighten up a dark empty corner with a new lighting that you can just slip in any tiny space. Get a stylish modern design floor lamp with light bulbs bright enough for reading books and you can arrange a cozy and relaxing nook to put your feet up after a tiring day.
