Two years after Paul Walker's untimely death, there have been rumors that he will be appearing in the 8th installment of the action film, "Fast & Furious."

According to Christian Post, Walker's character might be appearing in the movie through flashbacks, and these speculations first came up when it was reported that Jordana Brewster might be returning for the 8th  installment to reprise her role as Mia Torreto. If the rumors are true, there is a huge possibility that the movie will be using computer-generated imagery or CGI in order to bring Walker's character to life.

As of writing, Brewster's return in the movie franchise has not been confirmed yet; however, she revealed in an interview that she is not closing any doors in coming back for the movie.

In "Furious 7," some of Walker's unfinished scenes were taken over by his brothers, and according to earlier reports, CGI helped a lot in successfully filming some of Walker's missed scenes. In the end of "Fast 7," Walker's character finally concluded his racing adventures so he can start a new life with Mia.

Movie News Guide reports that producer Neal H. Moritz said in an interview that it is very unfortunate that Walker is not around to film the movie anymore. Although his character in the movie has moved on, Moritz added that they feel that there are still a lot of things to tackle, and as of the moment, it is a huge challenge for them.

Meanwhile, Vin Diesel earlier confirmed that for the first time, "Fast & Furious 8" will be filmed in the busy streets of New York. In a recent appearance, Diesel also confirmed that the studios are also working on three more sequels for the franchise.

"Fast and Furious 8" is scheduled to hit the big screens on April 14, 2017.
