'Faking It' Season 3 Premiere & Spoilers: Showrunner Reveals New Love Interests In Upcoming Season

After the cliffhanger Season 2 finale, showrunner Carter Covington revealed some juicy details about what fans can expect in "Faking It" Season 3.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Covington talked about the Season 2 finale and also hinted that there will be new love interests in "Faking It" Season 3. When asked about the kiss that Amy (Rita Volk) and Karma (Katie Stevens) shared in the previous season, Covington said that Karma may not take it seriously because she was drunk when it happened.

With that, he added that Amy needed some time for herself to be able to move on that's why she went away for the summer. This may be a huge decision and game changer in the friendship between Amy and Karma. Hollywood Life reports that actress Rita Volk revealed that there will probably be resentment between the two when the show returns for Season 3.

Volk added that the Season 2 finale opened a lot of possibilities for them, and although it won't be easy, Amy and Karma will come back from it. She revealed that when Amy returns from her summer vacation, she and Karma won't be the same, and Season 3 will explore how the girls will get their friendship back.

Covington revealed that Season 3 will begin after the summer and when the school year starts. According to the showrunner, the first episode will be the day before the school year starts, while the second episode will be the beginning of classes.

Covington also added that Zita (Chloe Bridges) and Liam's (Gregg Sulkin) relationship will be evolving in a very interesting way over the summer, while Liam will go on a journey of finding a connection with his real father. Meanwhile, he also revealed that Felix (Parker Mack) and Amy's story is also not done and that fans should watch out for it in Season 3.
